The answer is yes, IF YOU FOLLOW MY 10 TIPS FOR IMPROVING YOUR OVERALL HEALTH (because healthy bodies don't like to carry excess baggage!)
TIP # 5: LIMIT THE WHITE STUFF…
…white sugar and flour, that is!!!
Sugar stresses out the entire body but most especially the immune and endocrine systems and digestive tract (and these three conditions are more like a vicious cycle than anything else.) Every time you eat sugar it creates an acidic environment in the digestive tract and diseases thrive in an acid base, thus the reason why we look more and more to inflammation in the digestive tract as the birthplace of disease. Eating sugar also simply makes you more susceptible to colds, infections, and even depression. Eating sugary food also causes an insulin surge followed by a drop in blood sugar so you feel fatigued and hungry sooner than you expected. And of course eating excess sugar causes weight gain.
During digestion, your body can’t really tell the difference between flour and sugar because flour converts to sugar almost immediately. On top of all the issues listed above in order for the flour to be digested, the pancreas releases a huge amount of insulin (the hormone that tells the body to STORE fat.)
So what’s a health-conscious shopper to do?
