TAI CHI FOR VETERANS

BACKGROUND: At Sculpt Your Life, we believe that “Thank you for your service” simply isn’t enough … the debt we owe our nation’s heroes and their families must extend well beyond kind words and a handshake. Working with Veterans requires a thoughtful and informed approach due to the complex challenges they face. The former spouse of a Vietnam combat Vet and married to a life-active volunteer firefighter, Jessica Lewis brings a wealth of direct experience to this work and is one of just a handful of national Tai Chi instructors who’s invested thousands of hours obtaining multiple credentials and being trained in the nuances of both general Veteran culture and even VHA policy and procedure … Jessica is uniquely suited to immediately recognize potential issues and respond appropriately in order to support each of her Veteran-student’s optimal wellbeing.

WHAT & WHY: And now the Sculpt Your Life® T'ai Chi Chih for Veterans Program is available FOR FREE to all Veterans and their caregivers (both live and virtually) exclusively at the award-winning More Than Fitness ... click here for the schedule. T’ai Chi Chih isn’t just an evidence-based complementary & integrative treatment option for PTSD / life-threatening mental health diagnoses, chronic pain, and many other conditions prevalent in today’s military community, it’s also drug-free, fun, plus LITERALLY ANYONE CAN DO IT.

BUT WHY T'AI CHI CHIH?
Because it’s undeniably unique. The only style of Tai Chi qualified by leading TCQ researchers as nothing other than a moving mindfulness practice, T’ai Chi Chih is also exceptionally adaptive thus is far more appropriate for this special population. T'ai Chi Chih is gentle & easy enough for anyone yet powerful enough for:

• ALL "Justice Personnel" (including, of course, Veterans) as this entire group is especially prone to the same chronic debilitating physical and mental health diagnoses
• Those struggling with progressive neurological disorders like MS, Parkinson's, plus various forms of dementia & cognitive decline
• Those with degenerative aging & mobility challenges
• The homeless
• Those in SUD recovery & rehab
• The incarcerated
