Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!

October 16, 2016

OK so I UNINTENTIONALLY threw Steph Gaudreau under the bus last week and I owe her an apology…

I actually took the time to attend her webinar "4 Ways Smart Women Sabotage Their Health (When Trying to Get Leaner & Stronger)"  because even though I probably already know pretty much everything she has to say about the subject I always learn something new when I show up as an “empty vessel” (plus she’s just so very likeable!!!) And I now realize Steph does indeed consider relaxation a significant part of the optimal health picture…she calls it Strengthening Your Mindset and spent a good chunk of time in her webinar advocating the value of meditation, creativity, and plain old ordinary playtime in order to edge out negative emotions like fear, anger, and anxiety.

She went on to say that you should spend 10 minutes on a regular basis simply sitting still and emptying your mind (“and if you think you can’t do it, spend 20 minutes!”) and there is a great deal of HARD science out there to support the value of ANY type of meditative practice. But here’s the problem: most people like the idea of meditating but are simply unable to sit still long enough to do it. Which is why I always say:

T’ai Chi Chih is certainly not the ONLY way to meditate but it might be the EASISET way to meditate which might make it the BEST way to meditate!

You certainly don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that the body, mind, and spirit connection is irrefutable: next time you feel scared or tense just take a moment to notice your breathing and your posture! So if you’ve been looking for a meditative practice that’s not only effective for stress reduction but also reduces symptoms of all kinds of conditions and possibly even your risk for DEVELOPING disease, you’ve got lots of options…if you want one that’s easy enough for ANYONE to do, T’ai Chi Chih may be your ONLY option.

Oh and by the way, regular T’ai Chi Chih practice also makes you a lot less self-conscious about making mistakes and having to publicly apologize to a super-knowledgeable holistic nutritionist, strength & conditioning coach, and best-selling author who can run circles around my ability to reach really huge audiences!

The light and the goodness within me greets and respects the light and the goodness within you, Steph…Namaste!
