Many years ago, before I coached healthy lifestyles for a living, I used to take a good deal of heat for having what most people referred to as a ‘restrictive” diet. Folks who (in their defense) didn’t know much about healthy food would consistently ask me “what DO you eat?” And my response would inevitably be “food!” Even back then one of my mantras was “don’t eat foods you simply can’t find in nature."
Fast forward to 4 years ago when I began teaching Paleo Nutrition (in addition to my signature comprehensive whole food nutrition instruction.) Here’s why I feel so passionate about the subject:
Boatloads of hard science actually points directly to a vegan diet as the best way to not only reduce disease symptoms but even reduce risk for developing every major disease BUT FOR MOST FOLKS IN THIS COUNTRY (where we have a unique constellation of physical and emotional stressors plus health risks unparalleled anywhere else in the world) that's a lifestyle they simply cannot maintain. Therefore, IN MY OPINION a true Paleo approach is your next best option because it not only lowers disease risk by removing the most highly inflammatory foods it also…
·Makes you feel full and energetic,
·Balances blood sugar while cutting cravings to the quick,
·VASTLY reduces your intake of hormones, antibiotics, and chemicals,
·And increases the amount of healthy whole food you consume, ESPECIALLY VEGETABLES! Believe it or not, every major world health organization (including THE World Health Organization) now recommends we consume between 9 and 13 servings of vegetables every day just to maintain our health!
On September 22nd I’ll begin teaching my “Paleo Made Practical” class once again in Hockessin and it’s a REALLY great bang for the buck: two hour-long discussion-based classes plus an hour-long cooking demonstration that’s bound to blow your tastebuds away…DON’T MISS OUT!!!
If you’ve ever been curious to learn more about Paleo nutritional research but are confused by the glut of conflicting info, give yourself the gift of 3 hours with one of the region’s top educators and learn how EASY it can be to sustain a Paleo lifestyle (in other words eating tons of whole fresh veggies and fruits along with high quality proteins and fats.) Rest assured that the TRUE Paleo diet is NOT a passing fad!
Click here for more info on the class and of course feel free to get in touch with any questions. (Or have you already joined this growing movement? Then I’m sure you feel so good it’s no secret…help change the world one healthy body at a time and pass the word!)
